"Cuvée de Florence" – white 2018

Soil: granitic, high natural filtering, dry and poor, favourable to high quality wine production

Grapes: Chardonnay

Vines Age: one from 5 and one from 40 years old  

Cultivation method:  Biodynamie , DEMETER certification in addition to ECOCERT organic certification (FR-BIO-01), High density plantation (more than 6500 plants/ ha)

Climate:   Our vines suffered from the early spring frost which destroyed two third of the harvest. The vegetative cycle restarted then a very fast manner because of the sudden high temperatures which lasted until the end of the summer. This very dry weather enables concentrated and high-quality grapes.

Harvest:  Fully manual, 1st September 2018. Yield 18 hl/ha.

Wine growing method: Traditional Beaujolais at low temperature, no additives, indigenes yeast. Farmed in wooden burgundy type of barrel for two third of the harvest.

 Analysis: 13°64, 48 mg SO2 in total

Bottle: 75cl

Wine:  Jewel of our wine yard, nice fresh fruits and white flowers aromas.

Tasting:  This “cuvée”  will nicely fit your festive meal.
